Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a star of the popular TV show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in university Christopher Meloni was interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, it is his characters on the small screen that earned him a cult fan following. There is no doubt that the actor has managed to grab audiences' attention by playing characters that are either side of the legal system. He was the serial killer role in the first TV show he appeared in and later played the role as an NYPD detective. He was repeatedly recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is believed to be his piercing blue eyes, which are considered as a signature and have aided in depicting rough characters with charisma. The actor was featured on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
